Are We Making Ourselves Sick?
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, fear set in immediately. I was numb and the world seemed to stop. It took 2 months for me to decide that a natural remedy was best for me.
As people search for new ways to enhance their well-being, energy modalities are gaining popularity. These natural options aim to promote balance and harmony between the mind, body, emotions, and spirit, without causing any harm.
Prioritizing our own well-being is essential, and concepts such as holism, holistic living, self-care, and self-advocacy play a significant role in achieving this.
Green drinks, dealing with stress, herbs and supplements, harsh chemicals, dirty environments, negative people, bad relationships, and dark feelings come to my mind when I first dove deep into toxins, living toxin-free, and detoxification. After being slammed for promoting a “detox workshop” at a gym, I began observing and questioning what it was all about and why. So thank you to the person who ripped me a new asshole in such a kind and analytical way.
In the world of wellness, looking within, holistic perspectives, mindfulness, meditation, plant-based nutrition, essential oils, sound baths, quieting the mind, energy medicine, and so on, we are embarking on what could possibly be a mass awakening. The demand for natural, green, eco, organic, sustainable, and fair trade pushes the world to adapt and create new environments that heal and contribute to the solution. At large, we are being forced by nature and the higher powers that be to move mankind forward in a kinder way.
In a world that displays acts of darkness, how can we trust that everyone and everything is ok? Who and how are we trying to nurture? Why do we need things to be different for us to be happy? Why do some believe there is one way, and that is the right way? What to do about all the sicknesses in the world? How do we create equality? How do we teach and lead so others understand?
What vibrates? Everything! Yup! What does that mean? We are all made up of matter and energy that is continuously vibrating. Why should I care? Because that means you can vibrate yourself into a natural state of wellness. The body wants to heal. The body wants to function in a way that serves your higher self. This is an easy way to live, without struggle, without harm, to the body that is considered our temple. Why not take care of it every day?
I was just turning 42 when I went through multiple mammograms, ultrasounds, mri’s, biopsies, and three doctor opinions to do surgery, radiation, and tamoxifen. A month after being diagnosed, my mom ran across a documentary series called The Truth About Cancer that was full of natural ways to heal. I was hooked. It made sense to me. My background was in health and fitness, so I thought I had this in the bag. I created a motto, “Watch Me Fly” as a means to support my endeavor and declare a future for myself. I was my Coach.
Natural healing modalities have been around for ages. Everyone can self-heal because of the law of vibration. The human experience has become complex, and the process of evolution is essential to understand. As we vibrate and shift into a state of consciousness, we can use self-mastery tools to help the healing process.
Excuse my language BUT… hell yeah we are!! This is my very opinionated opinion on the matter. Why do you think there is still racism and inequalities? Why do you think war still exists? Why do people criticize each other? Why do we feel the need to control things? Why do we seek approval? Why, why, why?? You could ask this in most situations and come down to the same logical reason… we fear the unknown.

Mornings for me usually begin with my bird chirping alarm, then silence, saying thank you in my mind, being still and feeling love, and letting my mind travel deep within. There is some visualization, some positive talking to myself, sending love out to certain people, laying in bed with the cat and listening to his purrs, and just bathing in the sheets absorbing all the feel goods I can think about and tell myself. If my mind seems to take over instantly and start overthinking, I grab my phone, pull up my favorite videos on YouTube that talk to me, and reel me in to control my monkey mind. Yes, sometimes I need help too.
